We started this because of one drive home from the beach.

Sand everywhere, a wet dog in the back, and a hammock cover that had slid halfway off the seat somewhere around the second roundabout. He'd given up trying to lie down and just stood there, bracing, for forty minutes.

We'd bought that cover to protect the upholstery, and it did. But it never occurred to us that we'd made the trip worse for him in the process. A sheet of fabric strung between two headrests is a hammock. It was never going to be a floor.

Covers with a solid base existed. They just weren't easy to find here, and the ones worth having weren't sold in Australia at all. So we brought one in.

How we do things

• 01 The dog comes first. Keeping the seats clean is the easy part. Whether the animal on top of it is actually comfortable is the harder question, and it's the one we bought this product to answer.
• 02 Real measurements, plainly stated. It fits most cars. Most, not all. The dimensions are on the product page so you can check before you spend anything.
• 03 You can reach us. Email and you'll get a person, usually within one business day. If something's gone wrong, tell us first. We'd much rather fix it than have you chase it through your bank.
• 04 It ships from here. Australian owned, dispatched locally, tracked from the moment it leaves us. No six week wait wondering whether it exists.

If it turns out not to suit you

You've got 30 days. Some cars are an awkward shape, and some dogs decide on principle that they hate anything new. Either way, send it back. We'd rather wear a return than have someone paying for something that sits in the shed.
