These terms cover your use of this website and any order you place with Happy Hound Travel. Placing an order means you accept them, so please have a read before you buy.
Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract forms when we send your dispatch confirmation, not at the moment you check out.
We can decline or cancel an order. That might be because stock has run out, a price or description was wrong, we can't deliver to your address, or the order looks fraudulent. If we cancel after you've paid, you get a full refund.
Prices and payment
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. We can change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order we've already accepted.
Payment is taken at checkout. The charge shows on your statement as HAPPY HOUND TRAVEL. If you don't recognise something, please contact us before you call your bank. We can almost always clear it up faster.
Delivery
Timeframes on our delivery page are carrier estimates, not guarantees. Risk in the goods passes to you once they're delivered. Giving us the correct address is your responsibility, and parcels returned to us because of an incorrect address may need to be re-sent at your cost.
Returns and consumer guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Our 30 day return policy is in addition to those rights, not a substitute for them. The full policy is on our returns page.
Using the product safely
Our seat cover is an accessory. It protects your upholstery and gives your dog a stable surface to travel on. It has not been crash tested and it is not certified to any vehicle safety standard.
Fit it as instructed, check it's secure before every trip, and don't set it up in a way that blocks your view, interferes with seatbelts or airbags, or breaches the road rules where you live. How your pet travels in your vehicle is your responsibility.
Fit and measurements
We publish the dimensions so you can check them against your car. It fits most vehicles but not every one. Please measure first. If it doesn't fit, our 30 day return policy covers you.
Website content
We work to keep descriptions, images and prices accurate, but we don't warrant that everything here is error free or current. Colours can look different between screens, and measurements can vary slightly. All content, branding and images on this site belong to us or are used with permission, and can't be copied without our written consent.
Liability
Nothing here excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that, our liability for a claim relating to a product is limited, at our option, to replacing it, supplying an equivalent, or refunding what you paid.
Privacy
We handle personal information in line with our privacy policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. Whatever version is published here when you order is the version that applies to that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any dispute will be handled in that state's courts. This doesn't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
